*Revised Estimated cost: Rs.55 lakhs (including furnishing) - We are happy to inform that support for this project is coming from old students of 1982 ISC batch. This batch has responded quickly, spontaneously and innovatively to the School’s funding requirements, mobilising support from a large number of students in India and abroad. This was made possible due to the initiatives taken by, amongst others, Dinesh Reddy, Nirupama and Meena.

** The donations collected from this batch in excess of the support pledged, has gone towards the purchase of an equipped ambulance for the use of the Rural Health Centre and School Hospital. The ambulance (Tempo Traveller) has been purchased and modifications completed at Bangalore. It is has since been commissioned.

*Initial (2007) Estimated cost: Rs.65 lakhs (excluding equipment). The revised budget includes kitchen and store modifications, equipment and gas-house costs.

Phase-1: Complete - The temporary dining hall has been built at the 'old asthachal place' between the red house and the dining hall, for a cost of around 7 lakhs. The components of the structure is completely re-usable after it is eventually dismantled.

Phase-2: Complete - The old dining hall has been converted into a fully functioning kitchen and stores.

Phase-3* (Pending) : Substantial escalation in costs have happened since initial estimates were made in early 2007. This resulted in a revised building plan to incorporate some of the aesthetic low cost features of the temporary dining hall. Approximately 50% of the building will be sloped (tiled) roof. We are happy to inform that support for this project has come from old students of 1978 ISC batch. This is made possible, thanks to the initiatives taken by Divyesh Sheth, Hari Sankaran and Aroon Raman.

As on June 2013, the foundation is complete.
